With a history of design by Donald Ross, Wayne Stiles and Geoffrey Cornish, the club is fortunate to have one of only two courses that has felt the touch of this trio of New England's most prolific and distinguished golf course architects. More recent modifications, by Mark Mungeam, upgraded the layout for the 2010 Massachusetts Open— held as part of the club's centennial celebration. The club has hosted over a dozen championships sponsored by the USGA and Mass Golf. The course plays to a par of 71 and its six sets of tees provide yardages — ranging from 4,730 to 6,903 yards — for all abilities.

     FAMILY PICKLEBALL ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
Looking for a fun family activity this holiday weekend? Try pickleball at WCC!

Family pickleball play was a popular option with many of our members last year during and immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday. We look forward to seeing so many players enjoy the facility again this holiday season.

Here are some helpful details regarding pickleball reservations at WCC:
    • Looking to reserve a court? Reservations may be made online via CourtReserve or through the pro shop starting 7-days in advance. (Email [email protected] or call 781-235-9654 for assistance.)
    • Can I bring guests to play? Yes! Guests are welcome to join you for pickleball play so long as they are not exceeding the guest privileges outlined in our racquets policies. This means that guests may not use the facility more than 2 times per month. A family guest may use the facilities up to 4 times per month. All players and guests must be registered in CourtReserve or with pro shop staff.
    • Bringing family or friends that don't have their own paddle? Not to worry, we keep 16 loaner paddles accessible at all times on the far end of Courts #1 & #4.
    • What is the cost for pickleball play? Pickleball courts are available at $30/hr. If the other side of your court (A or B) is also reserved for pickleball play, both groups receive a 50% discount for the portion of overlapping reservation time.
    • Can I bring guests that won't be playing? Absolutely! We encourage any groups of non-playing guests to make themselves comfortable in the viewing lounge. They are welcome to enjoy a drink, grab a snack, or browse the television while they wait.
    • What do I do when I arrive at the facility? There is no check-in required for court reservations. You will see a large screen displaying the day's court reservations next to the indoor court entrance in the lobby. Please confirm the location of your court booking to avoid any confusion on these busy reservation days! You may proceed directly to your reserved court at the time of your booking.
We wanted to include a few general reminders for those that may not frequent the facility during the year:
    • No food or beverages, other than water, are permitted on the indoor courts.
    • Please do not enter the court until the start time of your reservation if the previous group is still playing.
    • Pickleball nets are stored behind the green vinyl curtain when not in use. Please be sure to bring the net back to this storage location unless another pickleball group is booked on the court immediately following your reservation.
    • Please be sure to share our dress code with any family or friends joining you at the facility. Our dress code for indoor racquet sports is as follows:

    RACQUETS CENTER DRESS CODE
    Shoes:

    • Only shoes manufactured exclusively for tennis or pickleball are allowed (these will have specialized non-marking soles.)
    • Indoor shoes only on the hard courts, please.
    • No running shoes! These will mark and damage the indoor surface as well as damage the clay surface on the outdoor courts.

    Men:

    • Collared shirts or collarless jerseys manufactured exclusively for tennis are preferred.
    • T-Shirts with a tennis logo are permitted.
    • Colored tennis attire is allowed; however, all-white attire is preferred.

    Women:

    • Attire designed and manufactured exclusively for tennis is required.
    • Yoga pants & leggings are acceptable only if a tennis skirt is worn over them.
    • Colored tennis attire is allowed.

Boys & Girls (under age 18):

    • Collared shirts or jerseys manufactured for tennis are preferred.
    • T-Shirts with a tennis logo are permitted.
    • Colored tennis attire is allowed; however, all-white attire is preferred.

Please note: Non-playing members may wear jeans and denim (no tears or rips allowed) at the indoor Racquets Center as a convenience to parents and caregivers transporting children to and from the facility.
