A native of Poland, Ohio, Allison Mitzel is thrilled to join the team at Wellesley Country Club in 2025. Allison played collegiate golf at Youngstown State University, where she earned a B.S.B.A. in Marketing Management in 2015. During her time at Youngstown, Allison worked at the Youngstown Country Club as a Shop Assistant, sparking her interest in becoming a PGA Professional. After college, Allison pursued an M.B.A. at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania, where she also coached the Women’s Golf Team from 2015 to 2017. While in graduate school, she began working at Laconia Country Club as an Assistant Golf Professional, and also began working on her PGA Certification, earning membership in 2018. In 2020, Allison was promoted to Head Golf Professional at Laconia Country Club, and remained in that position through 2024. She played a key role in growing the game with juniors, working with golfers of all skill levels and fostering women’s golf participation. Allison has served on the New Hampshire PGA Chapter Board, most recently as Vice-President, and currently sits on the New England PGA Section’s Women of the Game Committee and the PGA of America’s National Governance Committee. Recently, Allison moved to Marlborough with her Goldendoodle, Putter, and her boyfriend, Thomas Fernandes, a PGA Professional at Worcester Country Club. She looks forward to a successful and exciting 2025 golf season at Wellesley Country Club.
